New Year, New Newsletter
Welcome back to the CTEC Newsletter! We hope everyone had a great holiday break and we wish our students the best of luck with upcoming finals and the wrapping up of the Fall 2021 semester.
Instead of our typical newsletter, this month we are announcing that we will be revamping our newsletter for the new year! We will be moving the newsletter to a new platform that is more reader friendly and provides more functionality, so stay on the lookout for that announcement come January 2022.
Overall, with this update, we hope to further empower student voices by allowing them to publish larger, more in-depth articles on topics of their interest. We anticipate that this new structure will give students some valuable experience with different publication and writing styles, and help them build out their resumes and reputations along with it.
We will continue to feature our graduate research assistants, but are also introducing a focus on giving readers shorter insights into the hard work CTEC does every day. In 2022, we have an exciting slate of student-led contributions, staff articles and research projects, and joint efforts by both that will be published via the newsletter. These efforts will focus on our online extremism work and our new Department of Homeland Security grant on youth radicalization.
We are very excited about the changes coming to the newsletter and CTEC in general, and can’t wait to share more about it soon. As always, if you have any questions and want to be included in future newsletter publications, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at ebarbarossa@middlebury.edu.
Happy Holidays!
